Upon entering, you'll be greeted with a large, open-concept, living room/dining room/kitchen combo. Note the updates in here:
---Brand-new, waterproof-vinyl flooring -- no scratches, easy to take care of, and you won't have to freak out if you spill something like you would with wood.
---Recently-installed, recessed lighting and shelving for that cozy feeling.
---New windows that you can actually open and close!
As I said before, the wooden shelf in the kitchen sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the rest of the cabinetry, but if you can handle that, the appliances (refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher) are all on the newer side, and are neutral enough to fit into almost any redecorating scheme you can come up with.
Further on down, you'll find the downstairs bedroom/office, which also has access to the balcony and utility closet. The furnace is only 14 years old, so it still has plenty of life left, and while the view from up here is nothing special, you can still catch plenty of people walking around and say hi to them. (If that's your thing.)
The downstairs bathroom was also recently remodeled (vanity/lighting), and contains your washer/dryer combo. (Both of which are 6 years old.) Near here -- just under the stairs -- you'll find your fifteen-year-old water heater. Despite its age, it's been holding up perfectly fine. The water pressure is solid, the water itself heats up quickly, and there are no leaks anywhere. Still, just in case, the seller is providing a home warranty for you that covers it for a one-year period after purchase.
Moving on upstairs, you'll come to the loft-style, master bedroom. It's very open, and can take some getting used to if you come from a home where each room was privately delineated with walls and a door. Do note: the shower is located OUTSIDE the bathroom (which can also take some getting used to), and most of your closet space for your clothes is located IN the bathroom. The upstairs bathroom itself has been recently remodeled as well, with a new vanity and lighting fixture.
